At Diversicare of Tylertown, our culture is warm, family-oriented, and deeply rooted in the community we call home. We are more than a healthcare center: we are a family caring for family. Patients and residents are known personally, families feel welcomed, and team members genuinely care for one another, creating a small-town atmosphere where milestones are celebrated and difficult moments are met with support.
We’re proud to offer a comprehensive activities program designed around each resident’s individual interests, lifestyle, and needs. Activities at our center go beyond daily routines to nurture the whole person, supporting physical, cognitive, spiritual, social, and emotional well-being. We believe activities become truly meaningful when they reflect who a person is, bring genuine enjoyment, help patients and residents feel useful, and create a real sense of belonging. From holiday celebrations and themed events to games, music, and special meals, our calendar is full of opportunities for patients and residents, families, and team members to come together. Birthdays and personal milestones hold a special place in our hearts, and we work hard to make every celebration feel personal, joyful, and like home.
Our center is fortunate to have several meaningful community partnerships that enrich the lives of our patients and residents, including partnerships like the following: the Baptist Churches of the Walthall Association provide biweekly Sunday services, and a local church volunteer group visits monthly for gospel singing. Walmart in Columbia, Mississippi sponsors our annual Halloween party, while Walthall County Vo-Tech assists with resident activities. Compassus also partners with us by sponsoring monthly birthday celebrations for our patients and residents, and more.
Beyond our doors, patients and residents stay connected to the community they love, with easy access to downtown Tylertown, the Bogue Chitto River, and Magee’s Creek, as well as beloved local traditions like Tylertown’s annual Christmas in the Park.
